What can we learn from the changes of the consumption level between 2011 and 2015 国新1501 关嘉敏

一,Story

From 2011 to 2015, the financial crisis and the Olympic Games are over, life returned to normal, and everyone rushing in their life and work.It is easy to be in the busy chore trouble, worried about parents and their children, worried about the cause and our basic necessities of life. All tired always linger in our heart, but forgot to come back to take a look at these years, what harvest when our life has been compared with the previous?

 (Figure 2)

Analysis of data from the National Bureau of statistics, from 2011 to 2015, 31 provinces in China residents' consumption level (Figure 2) are on the rise every year, and the annual consumption level index was above 100 (compared with last year, last year =100) (Figure 2),

https://public.tableau.com/views/1_5187/5?:embed=y&:display_count=yes

reflecting China's overall social and economic development level in every year. And Figure 2, through the dynamic display of the year, can be found in 5 years. Some city residents' consumption level presents the catch up from behind in Jiangsu Province, for example, 2014 grandma beyond Guangdong Province, Hainan Province, Sichuan Province, Qinghai province and beyond in 2015, etc..

(Figure. 3)

In addition, the consumption level of urban and rural residents in 31 provinces of China is analyzed (Fig. 3)

https://public.tableau.com/views/1_5187/sheet2_1?:embed=y&:display_count=yes

It is found that the consumption level is rising both in urban and rural areas, which represents the development of cities while ignoring the development of rural areas, which has promoted the development of rural areas to a certain extent.

But at the same time, the consumption gap between urban and rural residents is very large. The consumption level of the city is basically two times that of the rural area. The consumption level of the largest gap province (Yunnan) is three times that of the rural area.

In addition through the chart of Figure 3 shows the dynamic year, basically city residents' consumption level rise than in rural areas, such as Shanghai City, which reflects in the process of development, the level of urban and rural development is very uneven, the gap between the consumption gap between urban and rural problems also reflect the income and living gap between town and rural residents.

( Figure 4)

From the thermodynamic diagram in Figure 4 can reflect

https://public.tableau.com/views/1_5187/5_4?:embed=y&:display_count=yes

, like Beijing, Shanghai, Guangdong, Zhejiang and Tianjin, the city has always been a high level of consumption area, Tibet, Gansu and other inland areas of these is always in low level position, from which we can see from the high level of consumption of the City, the main are concentrated in the north of Guangzhou Shenzhen and the eastern coastal areas, low levels of consumption of the city in the inland areas, and the area distribution has never changed, also shows that the area of serious. That is to say, the strategy of the great development of the West still needs to be strengthened, and the state needs to continue to balance the balanced development of the East and the West.

Why the National People's Congress convened every year? Why do we have to sum up the year and plan for the coming year? Not only for the work of the government and the public, is to tell people, this year, we have what kind of achievement and we had forward the number of steps. In addition to the large or small disappointments in all of us, we all are going ahead in a busy time, and stepping forward in the persistence.

(There is five links in total, in which I used the tableau software to make the charts, to show the changes of the level of consumption. And the three links above are the main charts for analysing the data. The other two charts which will show in part four are using for showing the data completely.)

二,Essay:

(一),Explanation andReason for choosing this angle

The level of consumption can reflect a lot of problems. While the overall consumption level of China is rising, the gap between urban and rural areas can not be ignored. The first is that the consumption source of the residents depends on the income, that is, the higher the level of consumption, the higher the income level of the residents in this place. And how much income directly reflects the level of economic development of the city, their relationship is positively related, and a city economic level affects the city investment in the aspects of education, medical treatment, sanitation, public facilities, entertainment, transportation, etc. with the development of.

The annual summary of the country is one of the best guidelines for the next year. By analyzing the data in past years, we can find out the shortcomings in the work and improve it. Sometimes, apart from analyzing the data of a year, it is more convincing to compare and analyze the data of the past years.

The reason why I choose to analyze the consumption level of residents is that consumption is an important link in social production. Consumption is linked to production, income and reproduction. It can not only reflect the economic level of a city, but also reflect the productivity level of the local government, the performance of the government, the happiness index of the people, etc.

By comparing the consumption gap between different regions and the consumption gap between urban and rural areas, we can see the effectiveness and problems of government work in the past 5 years, and reflect on the problems, so as to make an improvement guideline for future work.

 (二)The source of the data

The data sources of this analysis are all from the "annual data of the province" of the National Bureau of statistics of People's Republic of China. The Excel form is downloaded directly from the website by selecting the annual data of the last 5 years.

(三)Procedure

1, Load on the official website of People's Republic of China National Bureau of statistics, select data from 2011 to 2015 on the provincial data and click on the consumption level of residents, and download the data of each year in the form of Excel. Get 5 clean Excel forms, then make one copy of 5 forms by copying and paste, and add a list of "year" data. Cut out the useless text in the form, so Excel only leaves the following columns: "area", "year", "consumption level of rural residents", "consumption level of urban residents", "consumption level of residents", and "consumption level index of residents" (last year =100). The Excel that collated the data was named "the consumption level of Chinese residents".

2, Use Tableau software to make charts and analyze data

(1), open the Tableau software and connect to the Excel to import the finished data. The data source markup in the area "from" # "symbols into a" regional / national "symbol (which can automatically generate the longitude and latitude).

(2) set up new work table 1, put "year" in the "column" option, and put "country / region", "resident consumption level", "consumption level index", "consumption level of urban residents", "consumption level of rural residents" to "mark" option. The map data map of 2011 - 2015 is automatically generated by selecting the map on the right.

The role of this chart is to record all the situations in the form of maps. With the cursor movement, people can see the consumption level of residents everywhere, and provide corresponding geographic location, so that readers can understand the distribution of provinces.

(3), set up new work table 2, put the "year" in the "page" option, the purpose is to create and change with the year moving map, then the "country / region" into the "column" option, the consumption level of residents "consumption level index" in the "row" option, select "double combination chart mode, then click the" color "option, the chart of the color change easier to distinguish colors.

https://public.tableau.com/views/1_5187/5?:embed=y&:display_count=yes

The role of this chart is mainly through a year's dynamic chart, reflecting that the consumption level of Chinese cities is increasing every year. The focus of this chart is the change in the whole Chinese city every year.

(4),set up new work table 3, put the "year" in the "page" option, the purpose is to create and change with the year moving map, then the "country / region" into the "column" option, the "city residents' consumption level and consumption level of rural residents" in the "line", and then select "side by side" chart patterns, such as the software will automatically put the "city residents' consumption level and consumption level of rural residents" to "measure", then change the colors of the "marker" option, and make it more attractive, click the "label" option, the specific value marked.

https://public.tableau.com/views/1_5187/sheet2_1?:embed=y&:display_count=yes

This chart is the main function of the dynamic graph through a year, specifically reflect the changes of the city and rural areas of each level of consumer, and through the intuitive feel changes in each city or rural consumption level than the big, but also intuitively feel the city and rural residents' consumption level difference is big.

(5),set up new work table 4. In the same way, the thermal graph model is used to directly see the difference between different areas and towns, and to distinguish urban residents' consumption level with color. The deeper the blue, the lower the representative value, and the lower the consumption level of urban residents. The deeper the red, the higher the representative value, and the higher the consumption level of urban residents.

At the same time, the size of the grid represents the consumption level of the rural residents. The larger the grid is, the higher the representative value is, the higher the consumption level of rural residents is, the smaller the grid is, the lower the representative value is, the lower the consumption level of rural residents is. The advantage is to compare the 5 years' urban and rural situations. The difference between the different years at the same time has compared the difference between urban and rural areas in the same year, and compared the difference between urban and rural areas in the same place in the past 5 years.

(6),set up a new worksheet 5, the same method, select the "double combination" chart pattern. This chart is the same as chart 2. The difference is that chart 2 is the dynamic of the year, and the chart 5 is the dynamic of the region. The focus of this chart is on the 5 year changes in each individual city, and the object of the analysis is a separate city. The object of the analysis of Figure 2 is the change in the interannual.

(7),analyse the data with the charts above, and then wrote the report.

(四)Disadvantages:

1,This drawback is the poor timeliness of data.

Because there is no recent data on the website of the National Bureau of statistics, the latest data in time selection can only be reached in 2015, so the data from 2011 to 2015 can only be selected. This data can only represent the consumption level of Chinese residents in the 5 year period, and can not represent the latest situation in 2017, so the analysis is lagging.

2,The other is the data "area" has too many dimensions, so there are some miscellaneous in the presentation, thus the performance was not smooth and clean.
