Some random ideas on Tuesdays with Morrie

THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY A TREASURE FOR HUMAN!

i was shocked by my reading speed after i finish it. It only takes me about 4 hours! BUT i swear to God, what shocks me most is the ideas that the writer tried to convey.

This book can be properly concluded with "A PROFESSOR'S FINAL COURSE: HIS OWN DEATH".

Mitch and Morrie talked about the world, death, marriage, emotion, money, forgiveness and so on every Tuesdays after Mitch got the horrible news of Morrie's cancer.

What impressed me the most is the ideas of death. Thinking about our own lives, there were a lot of people we have been through and almost all of our schoolteachers as well as our own parents have been teaching us how to live. But  not even one of them had a serious talk about death, face to face, with us. We have no idea how to face the death and how to say goodbye to our beloved friends and family, right? because, as Morrie said, we all know we're gonna die one day, but we don't believe it. So we thought "we will still wake up tomorrow morning and a brand new day is await for us", not knowing when THE LAST DAY is. That "once you learn how to die, you know how to live" is the main idea , Morrie was trying to address, hit me in the heart to think about how i'm gonna leave this world: with regrets? with a to-do-list that has been delayed for years? or what?

life is not about repeated automatic routines, life is about meaning.
