写在前面，今天读的也是专栏 special report：china in the world 的一篇文章，文章标题：The rich and powerful Citizens of the world

文章分为两部分：

• Wealthy Chinese increasingly choose to live abroad
• The rise of the ethnoburb

文章第一部分是讲了一个计划，Sherry Li 计划建造一个China City of America，完完全全提供中国式样的商店、饭馆、教育设施。目的是通过打造中国概念迪士尼来振兴地区的经济。

文章提到这个项目最需要的是来自中国的投资者，着重强调了一个 “EB-5” scheme，

which offers permanent residency in the United States to foreigners who put at least$500,000 into rural projects that create at least ten American jobs; or who invest $ 1 m into other developments. In effect, this means you can buy
the right to live in America.

即你可以通过钱来获得美国的居住权。

文章讲述到这样计划很受中国富豪的欢迎，中国富豪对于移民的潜在需求很大，尽管美国政府每年有10000的签证名额，但还是有超过30000的人在候选名单上面（大部分是中国人），与之相对比的是澳大利亚被废弃的类似的方案，因为太多中国人选择移民澳大利亚。

根据数据显示，四分之三的富豪移民是为了孩子的教育，以及其他的原因如政治环境和处于保护自己财产的目的。

第二部分着重强调的是 Ethnoburb 的兴起。

聚集了大量同一种族移民人口的郊区
最早出现时间：1995年3月15日，Paper presented at the annual meeting of the Association of American Geographers

中国富人的不安全感和对孩子教育的极其渴望，许多外国城市的郊区聚集了中国的富人，也就产生了这个新词 旅裔郊区，从构词法上看很像 ethnic和suburb的混合。

有趣的是文章揭示了一个矛盾，尽管国内有很多的机会，但是能够离开的人的数量在日益增长，甚至连官方媒体都承认， 这种热情达到了历史新高。

Daily, an official English-language newspaper, in 2014

接下来着重强调了澳大利亚的一些情况，比如中国学生越来越多，以及中国人非常强大的购买力，甚至调侃道 北京、上海比悉尼昂贵的多。

不过结尾倒是很扎心，许多穷人也很向往国外的生活，因为在大城市生活的难度和在国外生活一样，甚至更加困难。中国内部流动的人口甚至被认为是第二阶层。
