1. Back then I was waiting for the result of an audition, my livelihood was pretty much counting on it.
那阵子我在等待一份试镜的结果，基本上我当时的生机全寄托于它。
时间、地点都有了（人物一开始就明了了），可以开始阐述事件了（等面试结果）。
2. So... my phone rang and I was told that I didn't pass. Actually, I knew I wouldn't make it. But still, I felt terrible.
嗯，这时手机响了，我没通过。其实我早就知道。但是内心还是很难受。
继续说明事件。这里用到了两个之前学过的表达：
1）. "So..."表达一句话开始时也可以稍微拖长一点。
2）. “ I knew it." 表示”早已知道“。
“我没通过面试”的翻译加了一个"I was told" 是因为说话人是通过电话得知的，所以说话人是“被告知”，加上“I was told",这句话的逻辑才严谨。
3. But the rain suddenly stopped and the sun was out again. The restaurant was bathed in sunshine shortly after. Magical, right?
但雨却突然停了，太阳出来了，餐馆里马上洒满了雨后的阳光。很神奇，是不是？
4. Walking under the sun/ in the sunshine, I was thinking, yes, I failed this time, so what? There is always hope in life. And this is my most cherished memory.
走在阳光下，我想，是，这次我失败了，那又如何？生活总是有希望的。这便是我最宝贵的回忆。
