The correct use of as well as as well as的正确用法
Marker sentence:
As well as the clearing of forests for agriculture and coffee farming , there's also a major problem here with illega logging.
除了根据农业和咖啡种植业的需求砍伐森林树木之外，非法砍伐也是一个主要原因。
关于as well as的用法：
1 . as well as and
注意：as well as并不是and的同义词。
and表示并列，它连接的两者并没有侧重点。但as well as是有强调重点的，通常，as well as前面的部分是句子中强调的重点。例如：
John, as well as Mary, came to the party. John和Mary都来参加聚会了。
这里John是被强调的一方。另外要注意的一点是，当as well as连接两个成分作主语时，其后谓语的单复数形式通常要与前面第一个主语保持一致。例如：
John, as well as Mary, enjoys adventure and excitement John和Mary都喜欢刺激和冒险。
这句话中主语依然是John,所以动词enjoy用的是第三人称单数。
2.as well as可以用在句首，后一般跟动名词，表示除了...还...
as well as the clearing of forests for agriculture and coffee farming...
除了根据农业和咖啡种植业的需求砍伐森林树木之外，还有...(非法砍伐）
