背景：疫情大背景下，头条动作频频。支援前线、免费上线囧妈、飞书免限时免费开放。这系列动作几乎全都是通过线上云办公的方式完成的，很大程度上展现了头条高效的信息流动体系。团队共识是地基、组织结构是中间层，飞书这一套工具则是两者落地的上层辅助。

核心问题：（1）飞书的背后是头条怎样的团队理念？（2）飞书商业化怎么走？

（1）飞书的背后是头条怎样的团队理念？

头条的整个发展过程中，公司内部协作工具进行了多次迭代。从外部工具到内部开发飞书，本质上是组织在高速扩张的环境下，对信息沟通的效率有了越来越高的诉求。从底层共识来看，头条最看重的是信息的流通效率、多元化和准确性。基于这种底层共识，营造开放、互相尊重的企业文化，并通过上层飞书这类写作工具来将共识真正落地。

（2）飞书商业化怎么走？

对于飞书这款产品的商业化，或许更需要关注的是产品普适性和头条自身管理理念输出两者之间的权衡。每个企业都有不同的管理理念，管理方法，也就必然需要不同的内部协作工具。对于飞书来说，如何把握共性，提炼核心功能，并在合适、有限的用户范围内推广自身的管理方法或许是一条路径。

Background: Facebook in recent years are facing increasing blame and supervision on its data privacy issue and the spread of untrusted information. Now the company prepares to hand decisions about contentious content to an independent arbiter

Key Question: (1) What does this new entity do? (2) Why facebook wants to form this entity? (3) What's the implication of this entity towards facebook and the whole internet industry?

(1) What does this new entity do?

This new entity is like a sort of regulatory startup. The board will have its own staff of 30-40, budget to manage it all. Facebook/Instagram users can send their appealing if they feel that their content has been unfairly removed. The board would decide the final ruling and FB has a week to execute it. The board can also send policy recommendations on community standard where FB has to respond whether implement or not. In long term, they may also have a say in FB's algorithms and data gathering policy.

(2) Why FB wants to set this entity?

The company's future is highly related how it deal with data privacy issue and disinformation. That's what users, officials and the how society concerns about. If FB cannot solve the problem in a satisfactory way, the company will suffer in long term. This entity is setup as a long-term measure to solve this problem. Compared to always dealing with the government, have the self-control and an independent third party supervisor is definitely a more efficient and sustainable way for FB and the society.

(3) What's the implication of this entity towards facebook and the whole internet industry?

The capacity of this board is very limited compared to all the appealing from FB, will it just be a rubbish can for FB to deal hard cases?

How much powerful and independent will FB let this independent board to be? For data gathering and algorithm, things can be even more complicated since no laws exists now.

The body may act as a complement for the government official's effort. But the answer really lies in how effective it is in practice.
