Here are some different types of words in English.

Words that are nouns or pronouns are used to represent/ˌreprɪˈzent/ objects/əbˈdʒekts/.  78

A noun or a pronoun can be a person, an animal or a thing, including an idea.

We also use verbs to express relationships/riˈleɪʃənˌʃɪps/, such as to love someone or to own something.

We use adverbs to describe actions, such as to run fast or to walk slowly.

Adverbs express the quality of an action, such as how well or poorly something is done.   84

We use conjunctions/kənˈdʒʌŋkʃənz/  to connect things or actions, such as to read and write. 

我们用连接词来连接事情或动作，比如读和写

Conjunctions include words such as and, or, because, but and yet. 

 连词包括and、or、because、but和yet等词

In this sentence, what type of word is the word "love"? - The word "love" in this sentence is a noun.

What type of word is used to describe an object? - We use adjectives to describe objects, such as a tall building.
