2. Aunt Petunia shredded the letters in her food processor

shred tear up、 rip up切碎；撕碎

 He was accused of shredding documents relating to the case (= putting them in a shredder ) .他被指控把与案件有关的文件用碎纸机销毁了

  They heard bullets continue to whiz over their heads.
