简介

RPC 的全称是 Remote Procedure Call(远程过程调用), 即可以在客户端应用程序中直接调用其他计算机(服务端)上定义的方法.

gRPC 是一个 RPC 框架, 使用 protobuf 作为数据交换协议.

定义服务

既然是 RPC 系统, 主要的目的在于定义方法, 或者说服务 service.

在 gRPC 中可以定义四种类型的服务:

  • 一元 RPC: 客户端向服务器发送单个请求并获取单个响应, 类似普通函数调用
  • 服务器流式 RPC: 客户端发送单个请求, 服务端返回流式响应
  • 客户端流式 RPC: 客户端发送流式请求, 服务端返回单个响应
  • 双向流式 RPC: 使用两个独立的流, 客户端发送流式请求, 服务端返回流式响应

定义 protobuf 文件 hello.proto 的内容为:

代码有点长, 因为将服务端代码和客户端代码都混合在同一个文件中, 使用下面的命令分别启动服务端和运行客户端.
