What make life difficult is that the process of confronting and solving problems is a painful one. Problems, depening  upon their nature, evoke in us frustration or grief or sadness or lonliness or guilt or regret or anger or fear or anxiety or anguish or despair.These are uncomfortable feelings, often very uncomfortable, often as painful as any kind of physical pain, sometimes equaling the very worst kind of physical pain.Indeed,it is because of the pain that events or conflicts poses an endless series of problems, life is always difficult and is full of pain as well as joy.

人世之所以艰辛是因为面对和解决疑难问题的过程是痛苦的。疑难问题，因其本性会唤起我们内心的挫折或悲伤或难过或孤独或内疚或遗憾或愤怒或恐惧或焦虑或悲恸或绝望。这些都是令人不舒服的感觉，经常是非常不舒服，经常是和生理上的各种痛苦一样痛苦，有时甚至和生理上最痛苦的时候一样。实际上，这是因为事情或冲突会带来无休无止的疑难问题，人生总是艰难的而且充满痛苦和欢乐。
