Book Two Unit Eighty-six

As the man tried to swing the speedboat around, the steering wheel came away in his
hands. He had no sooner told this news to his friend who had just been water skiing
than they were both thrown violently into the sea. The speedboat continued to move
very quickly across the water after it had struck a buoy. When they had just begun to
swim towards the shore, the two men were astounded to find that the speedboat now
came straight towards them at tremendous speed after it made a circle. In less than a minute, it nearly collided with the two men. The speedboat would have smashed into
them again if they had not swum as quickly as they could. Fortunately, they had just
had enough time to swim out of the danger when the boat again completed a circle. It
was lucky that its nearly used-up petrol drastically curbed the speed of the boat. A little later, the noise dropped completely and the boat began to drifty gently across the water.
