一阶常微分方程初值问题的一般形式为:

其中 f {f} f 是 x {x} x 和 y {y} y 的已知函数, α { \alpha } α 为给定的初值。
Lipschitz利普希兹条件

其中 L > 0 {L>0} L>0 为Lipschiitz常数,则初值问题(在 a {a } a 的某邻域内)存在唯一解。此时Lipschitz常数不必小于 1 {1} 1 。

改进欧拉公式精度高于欧拉公式,低于梯形公式,但比起梯形公式是显式格式,计算量较小,相对折中。
