内皮素(Endothelin, ET)是由血管内皮细胞产生的异肽,具有强大的血管收缩活性。这种肽由三个独立的基因编码,经过加工产生39个残基的 '大ET '分子,再进一步加工成21个氨基酸序列,命名为ET-1、ET-2和ET-3。ET的作用是通过与两个受体(ETA和ETB)的结合来介导的。ETA的激活会增加血管收缩和钠潴留,从而增加血压。ETB受体的激活引发血管舒张因子的释放,如内皮细胞的一氧化氮(NO)和前列腺素,并增加尿液的产生和排出,从而降低血压。
