Maya是一名美国杰出的黑人女性，是剧作家、诗人、导演、社会活动家，留下众多经典作品。她一生是斗士，为争取女性和少数族裔的合法权益而毕生战斗。她曾经是马丁路德金的战友，她在迈克杰克逊的葬礼上朗诵诗歌，奥巴马为她颁发总统自由勋章……
