A Day that Changed My Life

It was a special day for me on October 31, 2016. 

Early in the morning, I drove to Scottsdale Community College as agreed with my good friend Tina. On that day, the white clouds floated in the blue sky, and the sun was very bright. I remembered that I was both nervous and excited when I was waiting for Tina under the flagpole of Scottsdale Community College. 

Tina and I were both very poor in English, and we couldn't understand English well and couldn't speak English too much. However, at once, we had to go to the college staff to seek help. When we met each other, we were both excited, and we walked hand in hand to the welcome center. 

We stammered to the staff our desire to take an English class.  The staff was sorry to tell us that they had College English classes, but they didn't have ESL classes which we needed. We felt deeply disappointed that we we would not have the opportunity to take English classes. 

Nevertheless, the nice staff told us that the ELS classes we needed were available at PVCC, and he even wrote the address and phone number of PVCC for us. 

Tina and I drove for a long time and came to PVCC.  We got our student ID and took part in the course placement with the help of Alison who was a staff of the learning support center at PVCC. 

Then I had my new lifestyle at that day——becoming a college student, learning English, making friends, and being active every day.
