cripple

英英释义:to cause great damage to something

例句:The war has crippled the economy.

The war has crippled the economy.

Not long ago floods crippled millions of households in Shouguang, Shandong Province.

Stage fright crippled him.

The only way to make apartheid work is to cripple the black mind.

Typhoon Mangkhut has crippled the electricity supply and communication services in Hong Kong and Guangdong.

The only person who can cripple my confidence is myself.

Apple is facing headwinds in China where economic growth slowed in 2018 to the weakest pace in 28 years, exacerbated by a crippling trade war with the United States.

It ended up saddling some of its acquirers with crippling losses that necessitated government bailouts.
