《microservice design》

In order to align with broader goals, we establish specific rules known as principles, which are not set in stone. For example, if one of the organization's strategic goals is to shorten the time to market for new features, a possible principle could be that the delivery team should have full control over the entire software lifecycle, enabling them to promptly deliver any ready-to-launch features without being constrained by other teams. If another goal is to rapidly expand business in other countries, a relevant principle might be that the entire system must be easily deployable in the respective countries, meeting their data storage geographical requirements.

These principles may not necessarily be applicable to your organization. As a general guideline, it is best to limit the number of principles to no more than 10 or to a poster-sized format for easier memorization. The more principles there are, the higher the likelihood of overlap and conflicts between them.
