interview: simple question

introduce yourself

I am now a phd student in stony brook university and will graduate in May.

I have some research experience in distributed computing, especially in the load balancing fields.

Also I have sufficient experience in programming. From the resume you see that I have taken some projects involves different fields, such like computer networks, database management system, operating system and parallel computing.

I am hard-working, diligent and responsible and I am confident that your company will benefit from my analytical and problem solving skills.

 

are you being interviewed by any other companies?

I have some other interview opportunities, but this company is my first choice.

 

why are you interested in working with this company?

I know that google is one of the largest company in united states. I have huge interest in software development so I wish to have the opportunity to have the job here. 

Also google have a good reputation, anyone who work at google can set their heart at ease about his own future. This is why I am interested in applying to google.

My past experience is related to this job and I am confident to do this job well. That's the reason why I am disirous to get this position.

Software engineer, for I am proficient in problem solving and programming.

 

why you choose ee?

when I was in high school in china, I have interest in physics and mathematics and I had high gpa in these fields. So I chose electrical engineer.

 

what are the university you have applied for? accepted by?

I have applied some university, like california state university at davis, san diego, columbia university, syracuse university, boston university, etc. Accepted by some university like stony brook university, syracuse university and etc.

My professor is professor thomas robertazzi. He was graduated from princeton university. He has a good reputation in the distributed computing field and contributed for the load balancing theory for many years.
