The implemetantion needs to fill the blank code in those three files:sampleIMAGES.m, sparseAutoencoderCost.m, computeNumericalGradient.m.
There is one problem that the process has exceeded maximum number of iterations. I am not sure it is right or wrong. It seems we got the right training result so that I pasted all the code here. It used around 15 minutes to get the final result.
We randomly choose 10000 patches from 10 images. The training dataset looks like below:
