The scenario goes something like this:
    Marketing: “We need X to sell against feature Y of competitor Z.”
    Engineering: “Gee, do our customers really care about either X or Y?”
    Marketing: “Of course they do. That’s why we’re Marketing.”
    Engineering: “OK.”
