I've install RHEL5.3x64 on hyper-v,2008R2,but I can't get the linux integration component to work.I download LIC v2.1(linux integration component) from http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=EEE39325-898B-4522-9B4C-F4B5B9B64551&displaylang=zh-tw&displaylang=en#Instructions
download file, extract, get an iso file.then mount it,copy file to another dir.the command I did as follow:
#mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom
#mkdir /tmp/linuxic
#cp -R /media/cdrom/* /tmp/linuxic
#cd /tmp/linuxic
#make

- Your system DOES NOT support the timesource driver
I get the info :Your system DOES NOT support the timesource driver.
next:
- #make install
- [root@linuxic]# failed
Red Hat Enterprise Linux 5 x64 editions do not support using the Pluggable Time Source component. However, you can use the existing timesync component with the adjtimex RPM package (detailed in this document) to compensate for time drift.
ok,next I install adjtimex-1.20-2.1.x86_64.rpm rpm package from RedHat Enterprise Linux iso.
1. Attach the Red Hat Enterprise Linux ISO that was used for installation in the virtual machine, and mount it using the following commands at a shell prompt:
a. # mkdir /mnt/cdrom
b. # mount /dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom
2. 2. Install the adjtimex RPM for more accurate time keeping in the virtual machine:
a. # rpm –ivh /mnt/cdrom/Server/adjtimex-1.20-2.1.x86_64.rpm
3.
#make
still get the message"Your system DOES NOT support the timesource driver ",ignore it,run "make install".
#make install
I get message "OK", get inputvsc.iso from http://www.xen.org/products/satori.html and install it.
- #mount /dev/cdrom /media/cdrom
- #mkdir /tmp/inputd
- #cp -R /media/cdrom/* /tmp/inputd
- #cd /tmp/inputd
- #./setup.pl inputdriver
here's the output:
finally,I can use mouse to operate my system.
