Must Have
�@是我最常用到的spec之一,�ξ叶�言也是最入�T的一份。大多��spec是用�聿榈模�但是�@份�牡谒恼麻_始是可以一� ��x�^的。它定�x了Mobility Management(MM/GMM)、Call Control(CC)、Session Management(SM)的程序�有OTA Message封包�热�(照spec本身的用字:定�xradio interface procedures)。另外,要找MM/SM的Timer,要找error cause (CC/GPRS SM)也都是�@份。
25.331 Radio Resource Control (RRC);
Protocol specification
Must Have
份量很�@人的一份常用spec。比�^�y逐��x起,因�橛泻芏喑绦蛐缘�|西。通常是用想的,把程序背後的��想懂,不然就 是多查�状尉���起�怼D��很有名的RRC States and State Transitions就定�x在�@份�e面。另外,所有的System Information Block、RRC程序、Handover程序、RAB程序、PAGING TYPE 1和PAGING TYPE 2的格式�c定�x,�有那堆��a��b��c��d..的measurements全都在�@�。�x完24.008和25.331算是可以解�Q掉7成以上的OTA message,剩下的,它�����兔�refer��refer去。RRC protocol Timer�查�@份。
23.060 General Packet Radio Service (GPRS); Service description;Stage 2 Must Have
PS domain的重量�spec。那��有名的GPRS Core Network的架���D、一堆u-plane、c-plane的堆�B架���D、UE Operation Mode分成class A, class B, class C(此分��m用於所�^俗的2G… 即A/Gb mode… ��22.060)或PS/CS mode(此分��H�m用通俗所�^3G… 即Iu mode)、Packet Data Protocol States、���domain的Paging Co-ordination通通都在�@�。PDP Context Preservation在第9章。
27.007 AT command set for User Equipment (UE) Must Have
AT command的�煞�spec之一,收�和SMS�]有直接�P�S的部份。�是新人的�r候,我�缀跏敲刻毂е��@份spec一�啃一��的。�x�_新人�r代,�@份的查�度也��常居高不下。+CNUM, +CIMI, +CREG, +CGREG, +CLCC, +CGACT, +CLCK, +CLIP, +CGDCONT, +CGATT, +CFCC, +COPS, +CRSM等等等都在�@份�印km然�@份也有一�Z�У�+ES,但是它是躲在要coco的ITU-T V.250�e。
25.401 UTRAN overall description Must Have
�@不算一份常用spec,但是�@是一份3GPP新�r人�翻翻的spec。5.1�_宗明�x��清楚core network、UTRAN和UE�g的�P�S,接著��分User Plane和Control Plane的概念,再�恚�有一��UTRAN Architecture,�人看清楚Iu、Iur、Iub三�NInterface到底在�l和�l中�g,�有RNS、RNC、Node B和cells�g的�P�S。透�^�@���D也可以��蔚亓私�樯觞N��有serving RNS、drift RNS的概念,�@�樱�s-RNTI、d-RNTI、c-RNTI、u-RNTI�@些名�~不用背也可以�得清楚�印�

Must Have
�@份比�^�凫杜fGSM���,比�^少用到,通常是碰到TI solution才��查到它。它��被我列成must have是因�樗�有一��很�典的Protocol architecture of Non Access Stratum (CS/PS MS side)的架���D,可以�我��一眼看清RR, (G)MM, CM(CC/SM/SS/SMS)的�P�S。
25.301 Radio Interface Protocol Architecture Must Have
��邓愫苌伲�但是算非常架��性的一份大spec,要知道L1、L2、L3倒底差在哪,�有各�娱g的channel到底怎 ��mapping,都在�@份。�@���也是比�^算用�聿榈�spec,�σ��新手而言,光是看到一大堆channel�s不了解它��究竟是做什�N的�r候,�@份 spec���很�y看得�M去。另外,R6起就同�r收有分�e��HSDPA/HSUPA的HS-DSCH/E-DCH definition,�@份就不重�}列在下面的HS spec��^了。
27.005 Equipment (DTE �C DCE) interface for Short Message Service (SMS) and Cell Broadcast Service (CBS) Must Have
�纱�AT command spec之一,�@份�拿�字可以知道是和SMS�有CBS有�P的。�^常用的�说挠�+CMT (MT SMS)、+CMGS (MO SMS)、CMGR (SMS read from USIM/memory)、+CMGW (SMS write to USIM/memory)、+CSCA (Service Centre Address)
23.040 Technical realization of the Short Message Service (SMS) Must Have
�名思�x就是SMS,要看懂CP Data就找它�樱�做USIM的OTA download也��用到。另外,做到NITZ的���refer到定�xtime/timezone的部份。�@份的好朋友是23.038。
23.038 Alphabets and language-specific information Must Have
�捻��悼春苡鹆考�的spec,但是包含Data Coding Scheme和GSM 7-bit Packing���重要的主�}。�@份做MWI(Message Waiting Indication)也��用到。

23.003 Numbering, addressing and identification Must Have
�倪@份的title很清楚的就可以知道�@份文件有什�N,�e凡IMSI、TMSI、P-TMSI、MSISDN、LAI、RAI、CI、CGI、IMEI、IMEISV、TLLI(Temporary Logical Link Identity)等等的��造,�有算IMEI CD需要的Luhn check�算法都在�@�e。

�ξ�碇v,�@份比�^常用的�r�C似乎大多是用�聿�sms的error cause,CP-Cause�有RP-ERROR都在�@�e�^。
25.101 User Equipment (UE) radio transmission and reception (FDD) Good to Have
☆ Table 5.0是UTRA FDD frequency bands,R6有��Band I到Band VI,R7增加了Band VII、Band VIII、Band IX和Band X,R8更增加到Band XIV,但是各版均加�]other frequency bands is not precluded。
☆ Channel Spacing是5MHz、Channel Raster是200kHz,�有UARFCN怎算也是定�x在�@份。
26.071 AMR speech CODEC; General description It depends
AMR�介。有那��有名的哪�Nrate是和那�Nspec相容的表。�@份比�^像pointer,叫�x者refer�@�那�的。
26.101 Adaptive Multi-Rate (AMR) speech codec frame structure It depends
有AMR codec frame format (AMR IF1)和AMR Interface Format 2的�Y��。也有AMR��kbps是Frame Type多少等�φ毡怼2贿^目前我遇到的都是format 2,�@份可用之���r不多。
26.103 Speech codec list for GSM and UMTS It depends
有Codec Bitmap。我是��24.008被refer�^�淼模�要��CC/SEPUP�e面查support codec的�r候��用到。
22.042 Network Identity and Timezone (NITZ); Service description, Stage 1 It depends
NITZ本身就是optional feature,所以�@份rating相���o比�^低。它有定�xNITZ information的�鬏�和使用。也有考�]到Local Time Zone (LTZ)、summertime等���}。至於TZ要怎算,��23.040。
25.304 User Equipment (UE) procedures in idle mode and procedures for cell reselection in connected mode It depends
�祟}很�L,�而言之就是要怎�舆xcell。在idle mode的部份,�W㈧�Access Stratum。���作而言,�@份spec�是有很多�崦恋�Щ蛘f空�g。 (�}外�,每次有PM自以���I地�χ�no service的手�C喊�f”�]有camp到�W路”,我就��很想�他���碜x�x�@份加24.008。首先,和�W路�l生�P�S的�釉~是attach,再者,no service的手�C,不�得是�]有camp到任何一��cell的。)
23.122 Non-Access-Stratum (NAS) functions related to Mobile Station (MS) in idle mode It depends
☆和25.304密不可分的一份spec,�@份�iT�vNAS在idle�怎�舆x�W路,像是UE在power on的�r候是自�踊蚴�臃�e�如何�x。(NAS/AS在idle�r的Function要怎分在25.304)Steering of roaming在收到USAT REFRESH command後�怎�k的程序也在�@份�e。
☆�@份spec�e也有一些GSM COMPACT的�索。[See also 22.011] 23.122比�^detail, 22.011�v比�^overall的��面。
☆��R7�_始,可以找到EHPLMN(Equivalent HPLMN),同�拥兀�要在31.102找到EF EHPLMN(6FD9),也要用R7以上的版本。
