He is too cute to be straight.  他太可爱了，绝对不可能是异性恋。 这里，straight的用法是个俚语，表示的是，非同性恋的人。美国人会说 "I'm straight. "，其实就是指他不是同性恋者。
当然，straight有另一个很常用的意思，指“坦白的、诚实的”，就等于candid或是frank。"I am as straight as an arrow." 这句话的意思是，我这个人诚实无欺，从不作任何非法的勾当，可是跟同性恋一点关系也没有。
