He has a BS in Mathematical and Computational Science, and an AB in Political Science, from Stanford University"。 That's a great question!",如果是在做演讲的时候,他会把你的问题organize一下,Randy的英语要比我们好很多,而且口齿非常清晰,然后他会重复一下你问的问题:"The Question is...",回答完了以后再跟你confirm一下:"Did I answer your question..."。
Hi Randy,
This is Jian from CDC SBE. Your presentation is great! Yesterday when I type “eBay Architecture” in Google, The first item I get is:
http://www.addsimplicity.com/downloads/eBaySDForum2006-11-29.pdf
Does that mean the contents in this PPT could be public? I want to translate that into Chinese and shared with my friends in my MSN space.
Hi, Jian --
Thank you for your nice comments. Much of the information in the first part of the talk I gave to CDC is public. For CDC, I did give a little more detail, and used the proper internal code names, and corrected the number of daily page views .
It would be very nice for you to translate this into Chinese! The link below is an earlier version of the presentation, with more detail on the history/evolution of the architecture. If you are interested, you can also find the eBay Architecture Principles presentation I have given at several conferences:
Please do not change any of the numbers or names in the external presentations. The extra detail I provided to CDC is for internal use only.
When you have done your translation, I would be interested to see it. I won't be able to read it, but it would still be interesting :-).
