SYSDBA and SYSOPER

The following operations are authorized by the SYSDBA and SYSOPER system privileges:

  • ALTER DATABASE: open, mount, back up, or change character set

  • CREATE DATABASE

  • DROP DATABASE

  • CREATE SPFILE

  • ALTER DATABASE ARCHIVELOG

  • ALTER DATABASE RECOVER
