RFT 'Could not create the view: ' 解决办法

Problem(Abstract)

When you start IBM® Rational® Functional Tester (RFT), you get the error message "Unable to create view".

Symptom

The full error message is:

Unable to create view: Plug-in com.rational.test.ft.wswplugin was unable to load class com.rational.test.ft.wswplugin.project.TestExplorerPart.


The error message might display when you start RFT for the first time after the installation.

Cause

The cause is unknown.

Resolving the problem

To resolve the problem, you can try to start RFT with the -clean option. This option removes the cache of the already loaded plug-in jar files and builds a new configuration. For more information about this option you can read technote 1212752:

To run the option from the command line, enter it as below:

"C:\Program Files\IBM\SDP70\eclipse.exe" -product com.ibm.rational.rft.product.ide -clean

Alternately, change the shortcut in the Programs Menu. Append to Properties > Target the string-clean option.

Notes:

• RFT starts in significantly more time than without the -clean option.
• You only need to start RFT with this option once.
• Restart the computer after you applied the -clean option.
