Senior Storage Analyst

Job Description
The Senior Storage Analyst will test and analyze industry wideavailable storage subsystems from design, architecture, feature andperformance perspectives with fair mindset. Also, testing andanalyzing support of different kind of database applications andintegration with ISV of the storage subsystems are part of thejob.
This position brings a unique opportunity to work with manydifferent teams such as Corporate Competitive Teams, ProductMarketing, Product Management, Engineering Teams, Pre-Sales, GlobalHardware Engineering Team and Supply Base Engineering Team bothfrom local and corporate offices.

Responsibilities:
• 

Testing and analysis of storage subsystems wrt.s/w features, performance of the storage subsystem and systemreliability
• Generating reports on tested and analyzedstorage subsystems
• Project planning development for testing andanalysis of storage subsystems
• Collection of requirement from different teamsacross EMC to make a feasible planning for the testing and analysisof storage subsystems
Required Skills and Experience
• Excellent technical analytical skills
• Strong sense of understanding of customer needsin terms of performance and features of storage systems
• Solid understanding of storage systems fromsoftware features and performance perspectives including differentdrives and interface technologies
• Strong background in testing storage systems anddevelopment of automation tools using scripting languages
• Technical knowledge of storage products andsolutions from vendors NetApp, IBM, HP and Huawei is ideal
• Capability of configuring storage systems andfiber channel devices independently is a must
• Experience in MS Exchange, Oracle DB, MS SQL,OLTP Applications, Backup Applications, Data Warehouse and RichMedia Applications is a plus
• Experience in virtualization technologies suchas VMWare and Hyper-V is a plus
• Experience in using industry wide available IOtools such as IOMeter is a plus
• Good at communication &negotiation skills
• Good command of English
Education / Experience
• BS or MS in Computer Science, ElectricalEngineering or related field
• 4+ Years relevant experience
