又是英语惹的祸!

收到领导来信:
Normally you shut down all instance using the ORACLE_HOME you are patching on the server you are patching... not necessarily all instances on all nodes.
I have NEVER installed a patch while Oracle is running unless instructed to do so by Oracle Support. Keep that in mind for the next time you apply a patch.

The Patch readme explicitly states: " Make sure all instances running under the ORACLE_HOME being patched are cleanly shutdown before installing this patch."

I would do the following on RTST:

1. Shut down RTST1
2. Uninstall patch
3. Reinstall patch
4. Start up RTST1

5. Shut down RTST2
6. Uninstall patch
7. Reinstall patch
8. Start up RTST2

For production, I would advise you install the patch in the following manner. Do you have time to patch it on your next Monday (12/17)?

1. Shut down RPTS1
2. Patch ORACLE_HOME on 10.12.32.181
3. Start up RPTS1

4. Shut down RPTS2
5. Patch ORACLE_HOME on 10.12.32.182
6. Start up RPTS2

7. Shut down RPTS3
8. Patch ORACLE_HOME on 10.12.32.183
9. Start up RPTS3

Does that make sense?
thanks,

I would do the following on RTST:表示领导要在RTST上做,而我要在周一做RPTS.

但第二天收到来信:
Was there a reason you did not reinstall it last night as I requested? Help me with what words I should use to make my requests more clear to you.

只好发信致歉。看来

I would do the following on RTST:
