经文

3:18 因為承受產業,若本乎律法,就不本乎應許,但神是憑著應許,把產業賜給亞伯拉罕。
3:18 yīn wèi chéng shòu chǎn yè, ruò běn hū lǜ fǎ, jiù bù běn hū yīng xǔ, dàn shén shì píng zhe yīng xǔ, bǎ chǎn yè cì gěi yà bó lā hǎn。
3:18 For if the inheritance be of the law, it is no more of promise: but God gave it to Abraham by promise.

3:19 這樣說來,律法是為甚麼有的呢?原是為過犯添上的,等候那蒙應許的子孫來到,並且是藉天使經中保之手設立的。
3:19 zhè yàng shuō lái, lǜ fǎ shì wèi shén me yǒu de ne? yuán shì wèi guò fàn tiān shàng de, děng hòu nà méng yīng xǔ de zi sūn lái dào, bìng qiě shì jí tiān shǐ jīng zhōng bǎo zhī shǒu shè lì de。
3:19 Wherefore then serveth the law? It was added because of transgressions, till the seed should come to whom the promise was made; and it was ordained by angels in the hand of a mediator.

3:20 但中保本不是為一面作的,神卻是一位。
3:20 dàn zhōng bǎo běn bù shì wèi yī miàn zuò de, shén què shì yī wèi。
3:20 Now a mediator is not a mediator of one, but God is one.

3:21 這樣,律法是與神的應許反對嗎?斷乎不是,若曾傳一個能叫人得生的律法,義就誠然本乎律法了。
3:21 zhè yàng, lǜ fǎ shì yǔ shén de yīng xǔ fǎn duì ma? duàn hū bù shì, ruò céng chuán yī gè néng jiào rén dé shēng de lǜ fǎ, yì jiù chéng rán běn hū lǜ fǎ le。
3:21 Is the law then against the promises of God? God forbid: for if there had been a law given which could have given life, verily righteousness should have been by the law.

3:22 但聖經把眾人都圈在罪裡,使所應許的福因信耶穌基督,歸給那信的人。
3:22 dàn shèng jīng bǎ zhòng rén dōu quān zài zuì lǐ, shǐ suǒ yīng xǔ de fú yīn xìn yé sū jī dū, guī gěi nà xìn de rén。
3:22 But the scripture hath concluded all under sin, that the promise by faith of Jesus Christ might be given to them that believe.

3:23 但這因信得救的理還未來以先,我們被看守在律法之下,直圈到那將來的真道顯明出來。
3:23 dàn zhè yīn xìn dé jiù de lǐ hái wèi lái yǐ xiān, wǒ men bèi kàn shǒu zài lǜ fǎ zhī xià, zhí quān dào nà jiāng lái de zhēn dào xiǎn míng chū lái。
3:23 But before faith came, we were kept under the law, shut up unto the faith which should afterwards be revealed.

3:24 這樣,律法是我們訓蒙的師傅,引我們到基督那裡,使我們因信稱義。
3:24 zhè yàng, lǜ fǎ shì wǒ men xùn méng de shī fù, yǐn wǒ men dào jī dū nà lǐ, shǐ wǒ men yīn xìn chēng yì。
3:24 Wherefore the law was our schoolmaster to bring us unto Christ, that we might be justified by faith.

3:25 但這因信得救的理既然來到,我們從此就不在師傅的手下了。
3:25 dàn zhè yīn xìn dé jiù de lǐ jì rán lái dào, wǒ men cóng cǐ jiù bù zài shī fù de shǒu xià le。
3:25 But after that faith is come, we are no longer under a schoolmaster.

3:26 所以你們因信基督耶穌,都是神的兒子。
3:26 suǒ yǐ nǐ men yīn xìn jī dū yé sū, dōu shì shén de ér zi。
3:26 For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus.

3:27 你們受洗歸入基督的,都是披戴基督了。
3:27 nǐ men shòu xǐ guī rù jī dū de, dōu shì pī dài jī dū le。
3:27 For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ.

3:28 並不分猶太人、希利尼人,自主的、為奴的,或男或女,因為你們在基督耶穌裡都成為一了。
3:28 bìng bù fēn yóu tài rén、 xī lì ní rén, zì zhǔ de、 wèi nú de, huò nán huò nǚ, yīn wèi nǐ men zài jī dū yé sū lǐ dōu chéng wèi yī le。
3:28 There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

3:29 你們既屬乎基督,就是亞伯拉罕的後裔,是照著應許承受產業的了。
3:29 nǐ men jì shǔ hū jī dū, jiù shì yà bó lā hǎn de hòu yì, shì zhào zhe yīng xǔ chéng shòu chǎn yè de le。
3:29 And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.

加拉太書(Galatians) 4

4:1 我說那承受產業的,雖然是全業的主人,但為孩童的時候,卻與奴僕毫無分別。
4:1 wǒ shuō nà chéng shòu chǎn yè de, suī rán shì quán yè de zhǔ rén, dàn wèi hái tóng de shí hòu, què yǔ nú pú háo wú fēn bié。
4:1 Now I say, That the heir, as long as he is a child, differeth nothing from a servant, though he be lord of all;

4:2 乃在師傅和管家的手下,直等他父親預定的時候來到。
4:2 nǎi zài shī fù hé guǎn jiā de shǒu xià, zhí děng tā fù qīn yù dìng de shí hòu lái dào。
4:2 But is under tutors and governors until the time appointed of the father.

4:3 我們為孩童的時候,受管於世俗小學之下,也是如此。
4:3 wǒ men wèi hái tóng de shí hòu, shòu guǎn yú shì sú xiǎo xué zhī xià, yě shì rú cǐ。
4:3 Even so we, when we were children, were in bondage under the elements of the world:

4:4 及至時候滿足,神就差遣他的兒子,為女子所生,且生在律法以下,
4:4 jí zhì shí hòu mǎn zú, shén jiù chà qiǎn tā de ér zi, wèi nǚ zi suǒ shēng, qiě shēng zài lǜ fǎ yǐ xià,
4:4 But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,

4:5 要把律法以下的人贖出來,叫我們得著兒子的名分。
4:5 yào bǎ lǜ fǎ yǐ xià de rén shú chū lái, jiào wǒ men dé zhe ér zi de míng fēn。
4:5 To redeem them that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons.

4:6 你們既為兒子,神就差他兒子的靈,進入你們〔原文作我們〕的心,呼叫阿爸,父。
4:6 nǐ men jì wèi ér zi, shén jiù chà tā ér zi de líng, jìn rù nǐ men 〔yuán wén zuò wǒ men〕 de xīn, hū jiào ā bà, fù。
4:6 And because ye are sons, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts, crying, Abba, Father.

4:7 可見,從此以後,你不是奴僕,乃是兒子了,既是兒子,就靠著神為後嗣。
4:7 kě jiàn, cóng cǐ yǐ hòu, nǐ bù shì nú pú, nǎi shì ér zi le, jì shì ér zi, jiù kào zhe shén wèi hòu sì。
4:7 Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but a son; and if a son, then an heir of God through Christ.

思考问题

  • 3:19-24。保罗似乎轻视律法。他在这段经文说到律法的目的有哪些?

律法的目的是让我们知道我们自己在神面前犯的罪,并成为我们训蒙的师傅,引导我们到基督那里,让我们知道自己的不完全,需要靠着信靠耶稣称义。

  • 3:25-4:7。 在耶稣基督里的人(基督徒)能享受哪些权利、得到哪些地位?请用自己的话将它们一一列出。对这些特权与身分,你是否会感到惊讶?你有这样的体会和把握吗?

基督徒是神的儿子,因归入基督所以披戴了基督,在基督里成为一体,靠着神成为了后嗣,就是亚伯拉罕的后裔,因此照着应许承受产业。

注:
3:19-20。「为过犯添上的」:意思是律法以过犯的形式为罪,并使人在犯罪时意识到自己在神面前有了罪。比较罗 3:19-20;5:20;7:7、13。 「是藉天使经中保之手设立的」:保罗用这些话表明应许优於律法,即使在宣布的方式上也是如此。 在亚伯拉罕的例子上,神自己直接应许,而在颁布律法时,是藉著两造的代表──天使代表神(比较 申 33:2,七十士译本;徒 7:53;来 2:2),而摩西则代表百姓。
