Setting a Goal

07/06/2017

I always know Setting a goal is pretty important. Different goal has different effect, I learn this from a book Succeed, How We Can Reach Our Goals. Is your goal to be good or be better? To be good means you will do everything to look good. To be better means that you will do everything to get better? What kind of goal is yours?

For me, my goal is to get better. But this goal is so abstract, sometimes I forget it. This goal will keee me stepping forward. It doesn't teach me what to next and when to do. So I need a clear goal, too. I learn this from running. For example, if you aim to run 120 km a month. And you run 6 km per day. Then you have to run 20 days a month. This clear schedule gives you a guideline. Follow it, and you will make it.

Running is simple, it's easy to understand. But when we want to acquire a new skill. It is totally strange to us. We can have a clear goal. Getting better is the initial goal. Then we have to do everything to understand the skill. We can read books, blogs, online course. Once we know what that skill is. We can set a clear goal according to our own conditions and fight for it. My goal is to get better and good at writing and spoken English. What's your goal?

2. Three moments of joy

26/30

Moment 1: I finished a short book about Jack Ma which told a story about his failure experience. We can't copy others's success, but we can learn from their failure.

Moment 2: when I recorded my reading, I felt not good. But when listened to it, it was not bad.

Moment 3: I had a nice dinner with my family.
