Microsoft Style Guide recomended a book about inclusive language. I think it’s very useful for technical writing, so I read it in detail and want to make a summary for what I gained.

This article introduces its guidelines first:"Inclusive language acknowledges diversity, conveys respect to all people, is sensitive to differences, and promote equal opportunities. According to my understanding about its illustrations, some stereotype language and norms that are perfectly innocuous for some people may be deeply offensive elsewhere.  So we need to be cautious about the usage of sensitive words, such as disabled, impaired. Choose wording carefully.

However, this paper not only provides good advice about how to choose diction regarding conveying respect to all people, but also impresses me male and female should be treated equally.

I’m a Chinese living in Suzhou. Suzhou is a relatively developed city in China. But when I talked with people about treating boys and girls euqually, some would say vaguely:"You’re smart and educated enough to persis in this opinion" while others will directly argued: " You’re too feminilism."
