1994 Summer ,they set off a road trip and bought a beat-up 1970s BMW 320i, during the trip, they  took turns driving, brainstorming about internet. The best idea to arise from the journey was an online network for doctors.because it seemed like the medical industry was one that could be disrupted.But the idea did not fly, because they do not like it.

Musk found Silicon Valley is the right place suits to his aimbitions during his intership, and he was irresistible to web, so he dropped out of standford after two days, and persuade kimbal to start online business together in 1995,which is Zip2 later.(previous Global link,Yellow page-like listing online)

In early 1996,Zip2 underwent  a massive change ,as they got venture capital.They moved office and hire talent engineers,also shift its business strategy.

Do or Die but not give up, that is Elon. 

In1997,Zip2 moved into a larger place.And gradually , ZIP2 had become a behind the scenes player to the company,but Must believed the company could offer insteresting services directly to consumers.

In 1998,Zip2 announced a blockbuster move to double down on its strategy, and would merge with its main competitor.

In may 1998, the two companies cancelled the merger.
