The unity in the faith

Until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ. ---Ephesians4:13

The whole human race needs to restore its relationship with God, which is what Jesus’s salvation accomplished. When did the church cease to be a spiritual organization that only develops itself. The plan of the Lord Jesus to restore humans to its original place was to make Christ manifest not only individually but also in the whole. Jesus sent his apostles and teachers to that end---to make God manifest in the whole of the church. We are not seeking to develop our spiritual life, nor to enjoy spiritual peace; but that we may live Christ’s quality that the body of Christ may be established.

Am I building the body of Christ? Or is it just personal development? The most important is my personal relationship with Jesus— “to make me know Christ.” To fulfill God’s plan, you must commit yourself completely to him. Whenever I ask for something for myself, my relationship with God goes awry. It would be a great shame to discover that we do not care to manifest Christ, but only seek to manifest what he did for me.

My goal is God himself, not music, not peace, not blessings. Only God himself, my God. Do I measure my life by this? Or a lesser standard?

Dear God, I praise you. Because when I think of the parts of your mysterious body, great thought come to mind. How I long to know more about it quickly.
