纤云弄巧，

飞星传恨，

银汉迢迢暗渡。

金风玉露一相逢，

便胜却人间无数。

Beautiful shapes the rosy clouds show;

Shooting stars convey yearning and woe.

They secretly travel through the Milky Way.

Once they meet on the Double-Seventh day,

Their bliss is more than the mortal world can say.

柔情似水，

佳期如梦，

忍顾鹊桥归路！

两情若是长久时，

又岂在朝朝暮暮！

Their love is like a tender stream,

Their tryst is like a beautiful dream.

Unbearable to see the homeward way!

If their true love could last for aye,

No need to be together night and day!
