1. succinct= said in a clear and short way; expressing what needs to be said without unnecessary words

2. scrutiny= the careful and detailed examination of something in order to get information about it
e.g. The government's record will be subjected to/come under (close) scrutiny in the weeks before the election.
3. interrogate= to ask someone a lot of questions for a long time in order to get information, sometimes using threats or violence
e.g. Thousands of dissidents have been interrogated or imprisoned in recent weeks.
4. inextricable= unable to be separated, released, or escaped from
e.g. In the case of King Arthur, legend and truth are often inextricable.
