What is standard English？

什么是标准英语?

Is it spoken in Britain, the US , Canada,Australia, India and Zealand?

在英国、美国、加拿大、澳大利亚、印度和新西兰说英语吗?

Believe it or not, there  is  no such thing as standard English.

信不信由你，根本就没有标准英语这种东西。

Many people believe the English spoken on TV and the radio is standard English.

许多人认为电视和收音机里说的英语是标准英语。

This is because in the early days of radio, those who reported the news were expected

to speak excellent English.

这是因为在广播的早期，报道新闻的人是被期待的说一口流利的英语。

However, on TV and the radio you will hear differences in way people speak.

然而，在电视和收音机里你会听到不同的声音人们说话的方式。

When people use words and expressions（n. [数] 表达式；表情；公式；表示式（expression是复数形式）） different form "standard language "，it is called  a  dialect(方言).

当人们使用与“标准语言”不同的词语时，它被称为方言。
