Two roads

Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,

And sorry I could not travel both

And be one traveler, long I stood

And looked down one as far as I could

To where it bent in the undergrowth;

Then took the other, as just as fair,

And having perhaps the better claim,

Because it was grassy and wanted wear;

Though as for that the passing there

Had worn them really about the same,

And both that morning equally lay

In leaves no step had trodden black.

Oh, I kept the first for another day!

Yet knowing how way leads on to way,

I doubted if I should ever come back.

I shall be telling this with a sigh

Somewhere ages and ages hence:

Two roads diverged in a wood,and I—

I took the one less traveled by,

And that has made all the difference.

在一片金黄色的树林里,你的眼前突然出现了两条岔路,

但很遗憾的是,你无法同时涉足。

所以你站在路口,久久伫立,

向着其中一条极目望去,直到它辗转蜿蜒,消失在丛林深处。

这两条路看起来何其相似。

所以你犹豫、踌躇着,

但最后,你却选择了另外一条路,

因为它荒草萋萋,看起来更渴望你踏入。

或许,召唤你的不是路,

而是心。

回想起来,我们自己的生活中,总是有许多如此的瞬间。

在晨光的沐浴下,两条看似相差无几的道路,被埋在落叶之下,不曾有人走过。

于是你安慰自己:把身后的路,留给另一天吧!

但其实你很清楚,今天你所踏上的这条路,

必将连接着更多未知的道路。

今天的这个路口、这个选择回不去了,

或许也无需再眷恋。

多少年以后,

当你想起这个早晨,这段往事,

或许你会轻声叹息。

当时那片美丽的、金黄色的树林,为你展开了两条路:

而你,选择了人迹更少的那条,

也从此决定了一生的道路。
