Population aging is an inevitable trend in social development. Now a massive increase of elderly people in China will cause a lot of problems, such as economic load, competitive pressure, etc. But we just saw the negative respect, no matter how many people agree with this, and no matter how large the social burden really is, we have to accept this tendency. On the contrary, there still have many benefits.
Firstly, population aging exists a great potential market. In generally, old people are having more spare time than teenage or adult. So it is benefit for some entertainment industry to transform their center to elders, for example, the movie industry. In the past time, this sector always focus on the young people but now it can put on more movies, which can suit elders taste. In this way, it will widen the market to benefit the economic development. Moreover, population aging is the symbol of better health and medical conditions. Therefore, it is a good point to continue to develop and research the medication for senile diseases. Undoubtedly, all these things are beneficial to boost social economy.
Secondly, population aging will help to reduce the pressure from the adults. On the one hand, elders can take care of their grandchildren so as to share responsibility from their children. Because sometimes young people will work overtime with a huge working pressure, then less time for the baby. On the other hand, in the advance of medical level, most of old people are in the health condition, so they can look after themselves with a decent pension. Thus, young people can concentrate on struggling for future without excessive worry. To some extent, it can decrease unnecessary pressure from the adults.
Last but not least, population aging has a huge social precious fortune. For elders, they are still have large wealth, such as their experience, ability, knowledge and reputation. In China, there are many old people having a strong will to contribute to our society. And of course, in my life, there has a 70-year-old person, who is my statistic teacher. He holds tightly to his position to teach us with his considerable knowledge. For his spirit, it is worth to speak highly of. Not only him, but also lots of elders like him. In this way, it does good to social development.
In conclusion, instead of complaining about what’s wrong, we should have a right attitude to treat something awful. Make their advantages maximize. And I believe, in the future, population aging will in the positive development.
