New Semester This Weekend

I've been an on-the-job postgraduate student in Shanghai Jiao Tong University since the fall of 2017. Our pre-course classes in fact started from the beginning of April instead of September in 2017. This means I have been getting together with my classmates for almost one year till now. My first semester is completed in the end of December last year. It's nearly two months I haven't seen my dear professors, class advisor and schoolfellows. I miss them a lot.

It's attractive I enter into the university again after a few years' working. Different from the ignorant of anything of my undergraduate college, this time I am well prepared and I know quite clear what I need and what I want to get from the university. Shanghai Jiao Tong University has two campuses. The new school is very large, full of modern buildings, beautiful but a little rural, far away from the city center. The other old one is right in the heart of the city, with more than 100 years of history. This campus has a contrary style of beauty, shades of trees quietly covering the roads, old-fashioned buildings standing still after so many turbulent times, and new fresh faces full of hope and energy shuttling. Among them one is me.

On-the-job student is not easy. We go to work from Monday to Friday, and study in the left two days. Week repeat week. If the professor finishes the class a little earlier some day on occasion, we hail and shout a loud. If we have a good fortune one of the days in the weekend doesn't been arranged class, for me I don't know what I can do that day. I'm used to go to school every day in the weekend. Sudden ease overwhelms me. Besides the time, working is a big challendge too, working of the job, working of the study. It's hard to find some free time during the semester, especially in the face of an examination. Studying a whole night is usual. I can still remember last year, it was deep night and I was too sleepy. I told myself sleeping ten minutes, only ten minutes, I must wake up and study the next chapter.

The first semester passed. It makes me full filled. I look forward to my second torture, beginning from this weekend.
