今天开始认识CPS中一种常见的攻击方法——拒绝服务攻击（Denial of Service attack,DoS），主要参考https://www.us-cert.gov/中的内容。

DoS的定义

拒绝服务攻击，顾名思义，拒绝服务，也即当正常用户对目标计算机（target computer）进行访问时，目标计算机拒绝提供服务，从而实施攻击。

那么我们应该如何准确理解它的含义呢？在美国国土安全部旗下的美国计算机应急准备小组（US-CERT）的网站（https://www.us-cert.gov/ ）中给出如下的定义：

In a denial-of-service (DoS) attack, an attacker attempts to prevent legitimate users from accessing information or services. By targeting your computer and its network connection, or the computers and network of the sites you are trying to use, an attacker may be able to prevent you from accessing email, websites, online accounts (banking, etc.), or other services that rely on the affected computer.                      （  Author ：Mindi McDowell ）

在拒绝服务攻击中，攻击者企图阻止合法使用者访问信息和服务。通过锁定您的计算机和网络连接，或者您尝试使用网站的计算机和网络，攻击者可能会阻止您访问电子邮件、网站、网上账户（银行等），或者依靠被影响的计算机的其他服务。

攻击时经常出现的现象

unusually slow network performance (opening files or accessing websites)；unavailability of a particular website；inability to access any website； dramatic increase in the amount of spam you receive in your account                                （Author ：Mindi McDowell ）

网络异常缓慢（打开文件或访问网站）；无法访问特定网站；无法访问任何网站；垃圾邮件的数量急剧增加 等等。

避免此类现象出现的措施

1. Install and maintain anti-virus software (see Understanding Anti-Virus Software for more information).    2.Install a firewall, and configure it to restrict traffic coming into and leaving your computer (see Understanding Firewalls for more information).     3.Follow good security practices for distributing your email address (see Reducing Spam for more information).     4.Applying email filters may help you manage unwanted traffic. （Author: Mindi McDowell ）

如果意识到自己正在被攻击，应该如何处理？

If you notice that you cannot access your own files or reach any external websites from your work computer, contact your network administrators. This may indicate that your computer or your organization's network is being attacked.                                              If you are having a similar experience on your home computer, consider contacting your internet service provider (ISP). If there is a problem, the ISP might be able to advise you of an appropriate course of action

如果您发现无法访问自己的文件或从工作计算机访问任何外部网站，请联系您的网络管理员。 这可能表示您的计算机或您组织的网络正在受到攻击。 

如果您在家用电脑上有类似的体验，请考虑联系您的互联网服务提供商（ISP）。 如果出现问题，ISP可能会建议您采取适当的措施。
