The barn-converted house, standing alone on boulder-dappled grass, nestles among firs at the foot of a mountain. Despite glimpses of the well-lit modern interior through the flung-open front gates, the old-times rusty gray on the outside spews age and modesty.

The main floor bears on wooden jack studs supported by a concrete foundation, which is visible above ground and therefore a ring-strip of the semi-basement is revealed. That means you would need to walk up a short flight of marble stairs to get to the front door. The ivory-color sheen of the stairs and the foundation at cold dusk, once again, contrasts with the inside warm radiance spilling out of windows and doors.
