C1. Introduction
AIDA Data generator makes an input file for AIDA. It has one Human Machine Interface (HMI) window and collects plant data from DCS system via Exaopc.
Major applications of this software
AIDA (Advanced Identification and Data Analysis) package uses the file created by this tool as input file. The plant test data in this file is used by AIDA software, which produces AIDA model. Further this AIDA model is used in building Exasmoc multivariable model predictive optimising controller for Advanced Process Control (APC) application of a plant.

HMI for users. Users can define the information, which is necessary to collect data from DCS and save data in the disk file.
Data collection
By clicking “Start” button, data collection starts according to the definitions by user. This program accesses to Exaopc server. During data collection, message and progress is shown at the bottom of the window.
Data save on disk file.
Collected data should be saved on the disk. Users can select Data File Name from Date File Name selection field and save data on the disk. Saved data should be transferred to the PC on which AIDA is installed by using FTP, remote mount function of NT, etc.
Configuration File
The details that aids in the generation of archived data, such as Option Dialog Fields Data and the HMI Fields Data are stored in a Configuration file by choosing Save Configuration File As. menu option. The information of the previous archived data configuration can be restored on the HMI by loading the configuration file by choosing Open Configuration File Menu Option.
