In the second season, Jim Holden and his team continue to eliminate the rest of proto-molecule. As the proceed of the episode, they found that the research team of proto-molecule has more complicated story behind it.

To be honest, I think that Jim Holden’s team is too lucky to be true. They got supplies and weapons from others and nearly no harm. That’s a little bored for me.
When it nears to the end, we can find that it is inevitable to have a war between human and the alien creature. That may be shown in the next season, which I believe is interesting.
In my opinion, human’s body may too fragile to suffer from the pressure of expanding to space.
