Day 10 Angela Merkle

I didn’t find evidence that Angela Merkle is fascinated by the Russian language and the culture of the Soviet Union. Russian language and culture may open a window for her to see the communist and dictatorship way of ruling, but it can serve as opposition. In contrast, after Barack Obama’s retirement, Ms. Merkel has faced calls to assume the mantle of leader of the western liberal world. It’s exactly the way away from the Soviet Union.

I believe Merkel’s analytical background was the result of a strict academic upbringing. Her father was a clergyman in the East German provinces and Merkel was a serious child. As the daughter of aLutheran pastor and teacher who moved his family east to pursue his theology studies, Merkel grew up in a rural area north of Berlin in the then GermanDemocratic Republic. She stood out at arithmetic, winning a medal at the “mathsOlympics” held to promote the brightest children in the Eastern Bloc. After school she studied at Leipzig, one of the top universities in the East and went on to become a research scientist before moving into politics.
