It's an affluent world. With the development of technology and society we can have many choices of transportation when we go out.

Let me count how many types of transportation we have, buses, trains, ships, cars, planes, subways, bikes, motorcycles and high-speed trains. Which one do you prefer? Maybe it depends on how fast you want to go and financial situation.

Years ago, the efficient types of transportation  were buses, trains and bicycles .And  only bosses, government officers or business men could afford  plane tickets. So  it's easy to take a plane at any time as long  as you  have money.

So far I think  the most efficient types of transportation in our country  are buses, trains, and planes. Because we have the largest population in the world, the transporter should carry  passengers as many  as possible. In fact, the more the better.

And now a plane is  a common type of transportation. It's not easy for you to take a plane if you don't reserve the ticket.

In recent years you have more choices, you can take  high-speed trains. They go much faster than common trains and they are as convenient as trains. Some people say they prefer high-speed trains to planes because they run fast and people don't have to spend too much time waiting for it.  Even in our hometown Chenggu, a fourth or fifth tier city in China, we have  high-speed rail station too. It took us ten more hours to go to Xi'an by train twenty more years ago. After the expressway has been built , it takes us three hours and a half there. When we take a high-speed train, it only takes one hour there. So I think high-speed trains would be more and more efficient types of transportation in China. Maybe the common trains would be only used for tour.

Nowadays more and more people can afford to buy cars. It's really convenient for people to go for work , for travel and so on. But the roads and streets  are jammed a lot , and the pollution becomes much serious,  energy crisis is a big problem too. So buses, trains and planes should be  better choices.
