简单式

1. 过去时——表示在过去某个时间发生

• Verb-ed

  • 例句:
    The U.S. established diplomatic relations with the P.R.C. in 1979.

• was/were + verb-ed，ed表达被动意味

  • 例句:
    The movable print was introduced to England in 1485.

• was/were + verb-ing，ing表达一种持续性/当时正在进行

  • 例句：
    I was visiting clients the whole yesterday.
    I was watching TV when I heard the doorbell.

2. 现在时——表示现在发生的/永恒不变的

• Verb(s)

  • 例句：
    All mothers love their children.

• am/is/are + verb-ing，ing表达持续性/正在进行

  • 例句：
    7-Eleven is selling big cokes at a discount this month.

• am/is/are + being + verb-ed，being+verb-ed表示持续被动

  • 例句：
    According to the NASA survey, the ozone layer is being depleted.

3. 将来时——表示在将来会发生

• will + be

  • 例句：
    There will be a major election in March.

• will + be + verb-ed，ed表达被动意味

  • 例句：
    The building will be razed next month.

• will + be + verb-ing，ing表达持续性/正在进行

  • 例句：
    Don't call me at 6 am tomorrow. I'll still be sleeping at then.

完成式

1. 现在时——区间动作，表示截止时间是现在

• have(has) + verb-ed

  • 例句：
    I'm sure I have seen this face somewhere.

• have(has) + been + verb-ing，ing表示过去开始一直持续到现在

  • 例句：
    We have been working overtime for a week to fill your order.

• have(has) + been + verb-ed，ed表示被动意味

  • 例句：
    The house has been redecorated twice since they moved in.

2. 过去时——区间动作，表示在过去的某个时间截止

• had + verb-ed
  • 例句：
    Many soldiers had died from pneumonia before the discovery of penicillin.
• had + been + verb-ed，ed表示被动意味
  • 例句：
    Japan had not been defeated yet by the time Germany surrendered unconditionally.
• had + been + verb-ing，ing表示持续的意味
  • 例句：
    I had been smoking three packs of cigarettes a day before I decided to quit.

3. 将来时

• will + have(has) + verb-ed

  • 例句：
    Next July, I will have worked here for 2 years.

• will + have(has) + been + verb-ing，ing表示持续的意味

  • 例句：
    In two more minutes, she will have been talking on the phone for three hours.

• will + have(has) + been + verb-ed，ed表示被动意味

  • 例句：
    Come back at 5:00 p.m., your car will have been fixed by then.
