It seems Steve Jobs wasn’t a big fan of the first logo of Apple by Ronald Wayne. It showed Isaac Newton sitting under a tree with a glowing apple on top of his head. So within an year Steve asked another graphic designer Rob Janoff to design a fresh logo. He came up with the “bite”in the Apple logo and Steve added rainbow color to it.
Janoff had later explained two reasons why he used bitten apple for the logo :
1、He didn’t want people to confuse it with a tomato
2、He tried punning on words ‘bite’ and ‘byte’ (to lend geeky flavor to the fruit)
