Today is Saturday.

It's a new beginning to me. I am going to write a diary in English everyday for another month. I belive I can do.

Yesterday, I watched a film, Hacksaw Ridge. It's directed by Mel Gibson, an American famous actor who starred in the epic historical drama film Braveheart. I still remember that at the ending of that film, William Wallace acted by Gibson had been roaring 'Freedom!!!' before he died. The male protagonist of Hacksaw looks like Gibson.

This film tells a story happened in the World War II based on a real feat. American Army Medic Desmond T. Doss, who served during the Battle of Okinawa, refuses to kill people, and becomes the first man in American history to receive the Medal of Honor without firing a shot.  I knew that after I had watched the film, because I couldn't help searching the relative materials about the film to confirm the story is real. When I was watching the film, I had been talking to myself that this is just a fake story and it's unbelievable in reality. Afterwards I knew the reality is more unbelievable than the film. Doss refuse to use weapons, even touch them, but he saved the lifes of 75 wounded infantrymen atop the Maeda Escarpment in the fight. He was the bravest soldier, although he had been thought as a coward before the fight. Doss is really a hero who has the faith of saving people for the God's will.

I don't belive in God, but Doss makes me belive that the belief is real and it can help people complete something which seems to be impossible to do.
