在Android中一个Dex文件最多存储65536个方法,也就是一个short类型的范围。但随着应用方法数量的不断增加,当Dex文件突破65536方法数量时,打包时就会抛出异常。
为解决该问题,Android5.0时Google推出了官方解决方案:MultiDex。
如何使用,最好参照google官方文档,写的很详细:

这里做一下简要说明:
如果是android 5.0
以上的设备,只需要设置为multiDexEnabled true

上边代码中,对1.6 < android < android 5.0 进行判断处理,低于1.6版本抛出异常;高于5.0版本,天然支持MultiDex,所以忽略

通过V19的install()方法,关于MultiDex如何加载Dex文件的问题已经清晰:
PathClassLoader(也就是BaseClassLoader)
中DexPathListde Element[]
数组中。这样在加载一个类的时候就会遍历所有的dex文件,保证了打包的类都能够正常加载。~~~~~Dex的加载到此完成,下边查看Dex的抽取逻辑
