Say Hi to Every Challenge

Life is like a story, being full of conflicts. I believe where there are troublemakers, there are troubleshooters, so I tend to focus on coming up with solutions rather than complaining about problems or challenges. Taking what happened within this week as an example, the electricity was disconnected with short notice and the network connection was rather slow in the clinic. After collecting enough resources, I began to inquire the relevant responsible parties (AGL for electricity fee payment and electricity reconnection & Telstra for broadband technical support) about the procedures and managed to bring everything back to normal. You may say it is just a piece of cake, with which I have no issues at all, but what I am trying to say is all these experiences have helped me tremendously improve my English communication and problem-solving skills.

Another thing worth noting is that I find the world full of interesting things. The café downstairs has got a new clerk called Joe, who is a very adorable young Italian guy. Every morning after entering the Q Central Building, I will greet him with a smile. Gradually, we may talk on topics like hometown and hobbies. It turned out that he had been to Dalian before and he is very fond of it for its variety of seafood. Knowing that Dalian is my second hometown, he asked me to act as his tour guide and translator if he travels again to this city in the future. I answered that as long as the time allows, I am willing to help him. This afternoon, on my way walking back home, he happened to see me and offered to give me a ride, during which we talked about each other's families. Until then did I get to know that we were born in the same year, such a coincidence! To be honest, I find his appearance more mature than his actual age (so you see us Asians' advantage), lol!

Well, there are only two weeks left before going for my battle, which is really a nail-biting race against time. Practice and review with proper time control, come on baby!

I believe I can make it!
